Job Summary
As a Health Care Assistant, you will be working across all our DACS clinics, working alongside our friendly, patient-focused clinical, and administrative team providing essential support and delivering the best care to our patients. As well as general HCA duties, there will be training available for the following clinics:
1. Spirometry/ FeNO diagnostics
2. Dermatology Photo hub
3. Health checks
You will be flexible, have a good general standard of education, have a healthcare certificate with experience in a relevant health or social care setting.

Administration Responsibilities
* Participate in the administrative and professional responsibilities of the team.
* Ensure accurate and legible notes of all consultations in the patients' notes.
* Ensure the clinical computer system is kept up to date, with accurate details recorded and amended.
* Ensure accurate completion of all necessary documentation associated with patient health care.
Supplies and Equipment
Restocking and maintenance of clinical areas and consulting rooms. Report restocking requests to the Clinic Coordinator.
Ensure all equipment is maintained, calibrated, and sanitised as per Clinic standard operating procedures and infection control policy.
* Report any issues with diagnostic, photographic, or IT equipment to the service coordinator or IT support as appropriate.
Liaison
There is a need to work closely with the clinicians and administrative staff on site; report any concerns or issues to the Service Coordinator.

* Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of health, safety, and infection control statutory and best practice guidelines and ensuring implementation across the business.
* Using personal security systems within the workplace according to NICS guidelines.
* Actively identifying, reporting, and correcting health and safety hazards and infection hazards immediately when recognised.

Knowledge and Skills
Essential
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.

* IT literacy with experience in using electronic health record systems (EHR).
* Must be prepared to undertake all mandatory/essential training.
* Must be prepared to undertake further training as required by the service.
Desirable
* Experience of operating NHS IT Systems.
* Wound care/removal of sutures and staples.
* ECGs.
* Venepuncture.
* New patient medicals including height, weight, BP, and pulse.
* Chaperone Procedures.
* Willingness to undertake training and development, particularly in the area of Spirometry/FeNO and clinical photography and dermatology care.
