Job summary We are looking to recruit an 8B practitioner psychologist to lead the psychology team working within the Northamptonshire Older people's Community Adult Mental Health Teams (OPCMHTs). The varied role involves leading the team of Clinical and practitioner psychologists and psychology team members as well as some direct clinical work. In addition to the benefits offered under the NHS terms and conditions of service, this post additionally attracts a Recruitment and Retention incentive of £5000 for the successful applicant/s paid over the first 18 months of employment (given probation / supervision standards are met), Please note incentive payments are not applicable to existing NHFT substantive staff. Main duties of the job The post holder will work alongside the lead psychologist to share supervision and delegated management responsibilities for the OPCMHT psychology staff. The post holder will work clinically with a small caseload and provide supervision to others. We are therefore keen to recruit someone with experience, specialist knowledge and skills working with older people with severe and enduring mental health difficulties such as complex trauma. Part of your role will be to promote and support the development of Clinical Psychologists and therefore you will be expected to supervise trainee clinical psychologists as part of your role.
