The Senior Children's Home Support Worker plays a key role in providing high-quality care and support to young people with mental health and behavioural conditions within a residential setting. Acting as a role model, the senior support worker helps to create a safe, nurturing, and structured environment, promoting the emotional well-being, independence, and personal development of the young people in their care.
This role involves leading shifts, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring the implementation of individual care plans and behavioural strategies. Responsibilities include safeguarding, risk assessment, incident management, and promoting positive relationships with young people, their families, and external professionals.
The senior support worker will work closely with the management team to ensure consistency in care practices, contribute to team development, and support the overall running of the home.
