What the Job Involves
As the first point of contact for our customers, you will provide exceptional customer service whether you are face-to-face, on the phone, or via email.
In this position, you will be responsible for:
* Providing administration support for cemetery and amenity horticulture activities.
* Maintaining the electronic Asset Register and communicating plant renewal information to the Open Spaces Manager.
* Responding to public enquiries in a sensitive, accurate, and timely manner, especially those related to cemetery enquiries.
* Managing purchase orders and receipting of invoices.
Please note, this is a 9-month fixed-term, part-time position, working 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, within the Open Spaces Depot located at the Domain.
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for a confident, customer-focused individual with a high-level administration background, competent in the use of MS Office applications, and the ability to adapt to new systems.
You will have a high level of empathy and understanding towards people during upsetting and vulnerable times. For cemetery enquiries, you must demonstrate active listening skills, confidence, and empathy to fully understand customers' needs while clearly explaining available options. Your role in cemetery administration is crucial, as it involves handling sensitive information and providing support to families during difficult times. Ensuring accurate record-keeping and timely responses is essential to maintaining the dignity and respect of our cemetery services.
