The role will assist with managing funding streams and purchasing, and ensuring payments are managed effectively. The job holder will have no line management responsibilities. Summary To ensure the efficient and effective monitoring and operation of the Approved Premises financial systems in accordance with NPS and HMPPS policies and procedures. Responsibilities, Activities & Duties The job holder will be required to carry out the following responsibilities, activities and duties: Provide support to Approved Premises Area Manager in monitoring, reviewing and reporting on devolved budget for Approved Premises cluster in line with HMPPS financial regulations and policies Produce financial reports as required for the AP Area Manager, NPS division and Ministry of Justice Develop and maintain financial administrative systems and procedures to support operational delivery in the Approved Premises cluster Maintain accounts for the Approved Premises cluster Undertake bank account reconciliation for Approved Premises cluster Oversee purchasing for Approved Premises cluster, applying Value for Money principles, and process invoices Provide guidance to staff about Approved Premises finance procedures Monitor income received from Approved Premises residents in payment for service charges and take appropriate action Reconcile the pay claims of flexible resource staff with hours worked and provide assurance to area managers that claims can be approved Respond appropriately and pro-socially to financial enquiries from Approved Premises residents To work within the aims and values of NPS and HMPPS The duties/responsibilities listed above describe the post as it is at present and is not intended to be exhaustive.
