Job summary We inviting applicants to apply for the Specialty Doctor post in ENT at Ipswich Hospital. This post is until the 30th of September 2025. The post-holder will be responsible mainly for running outpatient clinics at Ipswich Hospital. Operating sessions, depending on ability, can be agreed with the Clinical Lead. The post holder is expected to partake in the middle grade on call rota. Day to day running of the otolaryngology beds and providing guidance to the junior doctors in their duties as and when necessary is a requirement. Main duties of the job The ENT Department across both hospital sites are responsible for providing a specialist ENT services for the population of North East Essex and East Suffolk, this equates to approximately 800,000 people. They are also responsible for the training and supervision of junior medical staff. They are expected to participate in management through the Directorate structure. Increasingly some aspects of service delivery may focus more on one site then the other if clinically appropriate. In the first instance this may effect on-call provision.
