The UK&I energy sector is undergoing a seismic shift. Surging demand, stricter regulations, and ambitious net-zero goals are driving groundbreaking innovation. Here's your chance to be at the heart of it all.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior or Principal Hydrogeologist to join our Energy group. We have offices across the country and work in a hybrid manner across our geographically dispersed hydrogeology team.
The role requires the delivery of high quality, pragmatic, advice, and solutions to environmental problems primarily in the quarrying and mining sector. There is also the opportunity to work across other projects including water resources, catchment management, land development, waste, and flood risk.
The role offers great and varied career development opportunities, including people leadership, technical leadership, and business development leadership.
About You
You will ideally have a postgraduate qualification in Hydrogeology or a related scientific discipline, and be chartered or working towards chartership with a relevant professional body.
We're seeking a highly skilled hydrogeologist with a deep understanding of subsurface systems and processes. You'll excel at translating complex technical concepts into clear and concise reports.
Beyond technical expertise, you will bring strong project management experience, having led projects of various sizes to successful completion. While a background in the minerals or mining sector is a plus, it's not essential. However, an understanding of relevant areas like impact assessment, flood risk, and environmental data management is highly desirable.
A collaborative spirit and a thirst for continuous learning are crucial. You'll thrive in a structured environment that supports your career development. Bonus points if you have experience with business development!
If you're a passionate hydrogeologist, but other factors are making you hesitant to apply, we would still love to hear from you and would work with you to overcome any challenges.
