Rate: Up to £500 per day (CIS or PAYE)

The Company
Our client is a leading civil engineering contractor, specialising in bridge construction, reinforced concrete structures, and complex heavy civils. They have secured multiple infrastructure projects across the Midlands and are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead an £8 million bridge and associated works scheme in Leamington Spa.
With three further projects already secured in the area, this role offers a guaranteed pipeline of work, ensuring long-term stability for the right candidate. While experience on HS2 projects would be beneficial, it is not essential.
As Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of this high-profile bridge scheme, ensuring programme efficiency, budget control, and compliance with the highest health, safety, and quality standards.
Key elements of the project include:
* Bridge construction – RC abutments, piers, and deck installation
* Heavy civils & FRC works – Large-scale in-situ concrete, falsework, formwork, and propping systems
* Deep excavation & drainage – Managing complex groundworks and temporary works solutions
* Stakeholder & programme management – Ensuring seamless coordination with designers, consultants, and local authorities
Key Responsibilities
* Project Leadership – Drive project delivery from pre-construction through to completion
* Programme & Cost Management – Maintain strict control over budgets, procurement, and contractual obligations
* Technical Oversight – Ensure all RC, temporary works, and structural elements are delivered to specification and industry best practice
* Health & Safety Compliance – Lead a zero-compromise safety culture, ensuring full HSE and CDM compliance
* Stakeholder Liaison – Act as the main point of contact for Tier 1 contractors, client representatives, and statutory bodies
* Risk & Value Engineering – Identify potential issues and drive cost-effective solutions to maintain project efficiency
* Quality Assurance – Implement and oversee QA/QC procedures to uphold the highest standards of workmanship
Requirements
* CSCS Black Card (Management Level)
* SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
* CITB Temporary Works Coordinator Certification
* Appointed Person (AP) Blue Card (preferred)
* First Aid at Work Certification
* Proven experience delivering large-scale bridge, civils, and FRC projects
* Strong commercial awareness – Budget control, contract management, and procurement experience
* Ability to manage multiple subcontractor interfaces and drive efficient programme delivery
