About the Role
The Manufacturing Quality Assurance Specialist will design, develop, inspect, and improve quality standards for operational processes and manufacturing outputs to support all customers.
Main Responsibilities
* Oversee customer cases to ensure timely action and issue resolution through recognized problem-solving techniques.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for Quality Assistance when dealing with manufacturing, supply chain, and customer-related issues.
* Maintain all quality specification documentation within the quality management system.
* Provide guidance, review, and support for improving production and process controls.
* Ensure timely Root Cause Analysis implementation.
* Conduct internal audits according to the Internal audit schedule requirements.
* Review in-process and final product specifications to evaluate and set quality requirements.
* Participate in devising and implementing methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating raw materials, components, and finished products.
* Offer expertise on advanced techniques to ensure assurance is integrated into products and processes.
* Analyze production and process data to identify trends and recommend improvements to processes and procedures.
* Provide guidance on developing verification and validation plans.
* Monitor and reduce internal scrap and rework.
* Offer a quality perspective in support of design control and change control activities.
* Lead or participate in cross-functional teams for new product development, quality improvement, and cost savings projects.
* Interact with other departments, suppliers, and customers regarding quality matters.
* Provide coverage for all areas of the business as needed.
* Demonstrate ability to set priorities and effectively manage time to handle multiple activities and responsibilities.
Requirements and Qualifications
* At least 3 years' experience in a similar quality role within a manufacturing environment.
* Internal Auditor – ISO 9001:2015 minimum requirement.
* Chartered Quality Institute membership would be advantageous.
* HNC/HND or NVQ Level 4 Qualified Mechanical Engineer desirable.
* Lean Six Sigma, 8-D problem solving, Kaizen, 5-WHY, Fishbone experience.
* ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.
* Salesforce experience would be advantageous.
* Metrology and CMM experience preferred but not essential.

Salary Information
The estimated annual salary for this role is £55,000 - £65,000 based on industry standards and location considerations.
