Social Worker Fostering (Full time) Team 1 Recruitment & Training We are seeking to recruit an experienced, enthusiastic, and dedicated social worker. The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting foster carers and ensuring the best outcomes for children, whilst also bringing a wealth of knowledge and dedication to the role. You will receive support from a permanent Team Manager with regular supervision, numerous training opportunities and a commitment to your on-going professional development. My Home Fostering Service consists of 3 teams. Team 1 is the recruitment and assessment team. This team has recently launched the Mockingbird Project, and we are about to launch our 2nd Constellation. Team 2 is the support and supervision team. Team 3 is the connected carers team. Each team, however, work well together to cover the full service. You will be expected to have a knowledge of Fostering Regulations and National Minimum Standards. You will predominately focus on assessing mainstream foster carers (dependent on the needs of the service), but be flexible in also supporting and supervising foster carers to ensure they provide high-quality care for the children in their homes. This will involve regular visits, assessments, reviews and providing ongoing training and advice to foster carers, while working closely with the wider team to ensure the best outcomes for the children in placement. The post holder will also be expected to complete fostering duty on a rota basis alongside all the other fostering social workers in the service. Normal hours of work are 37 hours per week based around the usual business working week. We do offer flexible working patterns in line with service requirements.
