As our communications Manager, you will be responsible for planning, managing, and delivering a wide range of communication and engagement initiatives. Your role will be central to shaping our public image and ensuring effective communication with employees, stakeholders, and the wider community. SHIFT PATTEREN – 2 DAYS OFFICE AND 3 DAYS WFH Role Responsibilities: Lead communication efforts for our Isle of Wight operations, including employee communication, press relations, and social media management. Deliver end-to-end campaigns that align with our broader Waste Treatment communications strategy. Create engaging content for a variety of platforms, including articles, press releases, social media posts, videos, and infographics. Serve as the primary point of contact for communication-related queries, offering solutions and guidance. Secure stakeholder buy-in for communication activities, ensuring they support business goals. Maintain consistency in messaging by adhering to brand guidelines and tone of voice across all communication channels. Strategically manage communication for the Waste Treatment Education Centre in Newport, fostering community engagement. Collaborate with the wider Thalia communications team to share insights and best practices. Please note: This is initially a Temporary role potential to go permanent. Skills and Experience: A qualification in communications or relevant experience (essential). Proven experience leading communication and engagement campaigns, either in-house or with an agency (essential). Creative copywriting and editing skills, with the ability to adapt content for different channels and audiences. Experience in content creation using various tools and platforms. Ability to respond to changing business needs with tailored communication solutions. Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate communication risks. Experience managing external relationships with agencies and third parties. A results-driven approach, with the ability to measure campaign success and demonstrate its impact.
