Ideally, you’ll have worked closely with engineers in the field and understand the challenges of delivering high-quality, on-time installations while adhering to health, safety, and quality standards. Other experience/attributes we’re looking for includes - Extensive & knowledge of fibre installation Proven ability to lead and mentor teams, driving performance improvements and ensuring high standards in the field Strong understanding of HSEQ standards, with experience auditing safety procedures and managing PPE Familiarity with the Openreach network (PIA, DPA) and the ability to read network fibre plan drawings Experience auditing SSOW & quality checks Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to liaise effectively with internal teams and external customers What you’ll be doing… This is a 70/30 field-based role, where you’ll spend the majority of your time on-site, visiting engineers under your supervision to ensure high-quality installations. You’ll play a key role in auditing health and safety processes and ensuring equipment is well-maintained and compliant. As both mentor and coach, you’ll share your knowledge and help develop your team’s capabilities. Working closely with the Team Manager, you’ll provide regular performance reports and identify areas for improvement. You’ll also take on the responsibility of deputising for the Team Manager when needed, as well as playing an active role in the new starter induction and competency sign-off programme. If you've worked in Telecoms for a while, you’ll be familiar with the variety and challenges that come with this role. We’re looking for a strong, capable Team Leader with high standards and a passion for continuous improvement. Role responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Leading by example with regular field visits to ensure installations are on time, on budget, and meet Ogi's high safety and quality standards Mentoring and coaching engineers, acting as the key point of contact for any issues or guidance needed in the field Assisting the Team Manager in maintaining productivity objectives, implementing, and analysing KPIs for the team Supporting engineers with equipment and vehicle servicing, ensuring all tools and vehicles are properly maintained and ready for use Conducting HSEQ audits and managing PPE safety compliance Supporting senior engineers with fault resolution Managing the new starter induction programme and assisting with competency sign-offs Ensuring teams are undertaking daily vehicle, tools, and equipment checks (including PPE) Monitoring and reporting regularly on installation team performance, identifying challenges and opportunities for improvement Contributing to productivity management (manning), including supporting overtime approvals in conjunction with the Manager Deputising for the Team Manager and supporting operational initiatives to enhance team productivity and customer satisfaction Next Steps?
