Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Working with a specialist team of Social Workers and Practitioners to deliver a high-quality service to Suffolk Foster carers.
* Providing statutory supervision and support to foster carers.
* Facilitating support groups and learning opportunities for foster carers.
* Receiving regular reflective supervision and peer group supervision.
* Contributing creative and innovative ideas to improve practice in a well-established and supportive team.
* Working closely with the Therapeutic team to promote trauma-informed care and attachment training, alongside our Therapeutic social workers and our Clinicians to support children and carers in their placements.
* Working in partnership with the Placements team to match and place children needing foster placements and ensuring maximum use of in-house foster care placements.
* Working alongside childcare professionals to support children in their foster placements with regular communication and attendance at meetings.
* Undertaking annual reviews and all statutory checks on fostering households within expected timescales – (required by Fostering Standards Regulations and guidance)
* Providing good quality, thorough and analytical recording and reports.
* Supporting carers to move children on to adoptive families.
Requirements:
* Registration with Social Work England.
* Excellent understanding of relevant policies, procedures, and legislation.
* Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months. On the update service? You could be fast-tracked through our recruitment process today.
