F&DT Engineer

Role Overview
We are looking for an experiencedFatigue and Damage Tolerance (F&DT) Engineerto join our Analysis team, reporting to the Skill Group Leader. This position supports multiple aircraft programmes within the Broughton Plant Engineering team, focusing on critical structural components.
Key Responsibilities
Perform F&DT analysis on composite and metallic aircraft structures using fatigue, crack growth, and residual strength calculations.
Define, scope, and provide technical oversight on F&DT work packages handled internally and by suppliers.
Ensure compliance with airworthiness regulations, working closely with design and static stress teams.
Provide technical support for concessions and develop solutions for complex structural repairs.
Occasional travel to attend meetings and reviews.
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of experiencein the aerospace industry, specializing in fatigue and crack growth analysis of metallic structures.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
Sound knowledge of F&DT analysis methods; experience in method development is a plus.
Proven leadership in certification activities and structural integrity assessments.
Familiarity withindustry policies, methods, and toolsto ensure compliance with airworthiness standards.
Experience withPC and mainframe systemsandFinite Element (FE) analysis .
Proficiency inF&DT tools (ISAMI or equivalent) .
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
