Job summary Part Time (30 Hours) Available An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 136 Practitioner to join the 136 Team, based at Pendleview. There is a full time and a part time (30 hours) position available. The successful candidates will also have the opportunity to support acute wards at Pendleview, and act as Mental Health Unit Nurse in Charge where required. The successful candidate will be flexible and willing to support the unit when required. They will be enthusiastic about helping to develop the existing service and be passionate about supporting people who present to our service in crisis. They will be able to utilise their understanding of the complexities of mental health law in relation to detentions under S136 as well as providing clinical leadership within the 136 suite and the other wards. They will also have skills in partnership working across external partner organisations. The 136 suite are designed to meet the holistic needs of service users/patients and carers, in a working environment conducive to staff development and wellbeing. If you are interested and would like more information please contact us on the details provided Main duties of the job The post holder will support the delivery of the suite / unit by: o Offering an assessment service to patients presenting with a range of mental health and psychological problems. o Delivering a range of nursing and psychosocial interventions to individual patients and their families, as appropriate o Providing formal and informal education and clinical supervision to registered and unregistered staff o Representing mental health services with other agencies o Providing a communication structure between the general hospital, secondary mental health services, primary care and non-statutory services, as a means of ensuring the highest possible standards of patient care o Actively promoting teamwork, respect, integrity, accountability, excellence and compassion within the clinical team in accordance with the Trust values and code of conduct. o Providing nurse leadership within the multidisciplinary team and ensure timely and effective assessment formulation planning, monitoring of care given to service users. o Coordinate MHA assessments, liaise with external agencies', inpatient and community teams ensuring that the rights of detained patients are maintained and appropriate care is identified.
