Role Overview Work as directed by the Senior Technical Controller to assist Ship Managers, Superintendents, Ship's onboard maintenance managers and liaise with a network of 1,000 international service providers as part of a team to coordinate and support the asset management of the fleet of 11 ships. This is under the P&O and Cunard world class brands in a 24/7, 365 day a year maritime environment. Organising and managing fixed fee contracts, planned maintenance and urgent reactive unplanned repairs in all areas of Deck and Technical. Involving Electrical, Engineering, Entertainment, Environmental, Maritime Standards, Projects, Refits, Security and Ventilation Maintenance to ensure the safety, statutory compliance and sustainability of the ships. Including management of logistics support for refits at dry dock and crisis management as part of the Carnival UK emergency response team. Applying high standards of teamwork, organisational and prioritising skills, to ensure timely delivery of services to the ships whilst using commercial awareness to deliver cost effectiveness is essential for the role. This pivotal role will involve: - Act as the main point of contact for all servicing. Liaise with service providers to establish, organise and maintain all service visits, including statutory and planned and unplanned maintenance driven work in line with the Asset Management plan. - Ensure high level of attention to detail and budget management and assist with business reporting with effective cost control for processing of Purchase Orders to meet the financial plan forecast for in service and refits in the region of £25m p.a. and team spend of £100m p.a. - Responsible for end to end purchasing process for services from initial requirement as per defined scope of works through to final supplier invoice payment resolution. - Plan, attend, manage and coordinate logistics operations including overseeing multiple contractors and shipyard logistics teams to deliver logistical needs for refits in dry docks and wet docks for responsible ships. This role is positioned at CUK09 level within our organization and is available on a full-time permanent basis. We offer hybrid work including up to two days from home.
