The Opportunity:
A fabulous opportunity for a Junior Electrical Systems Engineer to join the small yet growing, dedicated and talented team at Lola as we embark on the next phase of the adventure. Working with the Senior Electrical Systems Engineer and other members of the Technical Team to deliver the vehicle electrical requirements in line with the project technical, timing and budget targets set.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Work with Technical Project Leaders across multiple projects to define build specifications for LV and HV Electrical Systems, Harnesses, and components.
2. Assist with the Design and Build of development vehicle wiring harness, bench testing equipment and electrical systems.
3. Contribute to Design Review Meetings with members of the design team and other project members to develop the electrical system in line with the project requirements.
4. Attend regular Project Review Meetings to track progress across technical areas and ensure alignment with the Project Technical Specification, Project Plan, and Budget.
5. Support the operation of the on-car electronic systems at events/tests, ensuring all processes and procedures are followed correctly.
6. Ensure electrical systems meet event build specifications before support rig and product tests, including system commissioning, software setup, and fault resolution.
7. Produce post-test/event reports on system performance and any relevant improvements.
8. Use motorsport data acquisition/analysis systems, preferably MAT and associated tools.
9. Assist in creating and managing component fault reports, ensuring system traceability and integrity.
Technical Skills required:
1. Technical proficiency with electrical and electronic systems, including software configuration and installations.
2. Knowledge of Autosport harness components and wiring harnesses built to system 25 specification or IPC/WHMA-A-620 Defence specification.
3. Familiarity with working with high voltage electrical systems on hybrid or electric vehicles.
4. Solid data analysis skills to monitor data and identify system failures, along with excellent problem-solving abilities.
5. Strong communication skills are needed to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
6. Be adaptable to support various functions, work well in a team, and have strong organizational skills to manage spares and maintain records.
7. Strong levels of IT skills including MS Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Qualifications & Experience required:
1. Degree Level or commensurate work experience.
2. Motorsport, engineering, electrical degree desirable but not essential.
3. Project Management experience desirable but not essential.
4. An interest in and understanding of engineering/motorsport.

1. An existing electrician in a motorsport/automotive company.
2. An electrical enthusiast who has acquired the appropriate experience, skills & knowledge.
3. An experienced electrical engineer with the relevant skills and knowledge looking for a change in role.
