5 years experience defining new products across Europe & Asia Familiarity with formal NPD and introduction processes Creating and implementing go to market strategies Position: Senior Product Line Manager Location: UK - Hybrid Job Overview: We are looking for someone with multiple years of product management experience at a senior level who can define, drive, implement and evangelise an entire portfolio strategy, working across EU and Asia suppliers to deploy a broad range of products in unison. Key Responsibilities: Market Insight & Strategy Development: Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis, engage with customers, suppliers, and sales teams to develop a deep understanding of trends, regulatory changes, and competitor strategies within the Logistics and Industry Lighting segment. Use these insights to guide the creation of the product line strategy and roadmap. Product Line Strategy & Growth: Create and execute a product line strategy that fosters ongoing competitiveness and drives profitable growth, ensuring alignment with the company’s brand guidelines and segment plans. Product Development: Identify new product opportunities and improvements, providing detailed justifications through the NPD Gate Review Process. Manage the NPD process from concept to launch, ensuring collaboration with R&D, Sourcing, Manufacturing, and other key departments. Go-To-Market Strategy: Collaborate with Segment Marketing Managers to define and implement a robust go-to-market strategy for new product launches, coordinating with cross-functional teams, including Marketing Communications, R&D, Operations, and Planning. Product Documentation & Compliance: Ensure all product-related materials (literature, datasheets, website content, etc.) are accurate and compliant with relevant standards and regulations. Sales Enablement: Equip the sales team with the knowledge and training to effectively sell new and updated products, ensuring they have the resources to succeed. Performance Monitoring: Regularly track sales, margins, and performance metrics for the product portfolio, providing recommendations and corrective actions to improve results. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Segment Marketing, Country, and End-User Sales/Marketing teams to maximize product sales and profitability, ensuring alignment with market conditions and company expectations. Cost Optimization: Partner with Sourcing, R&D, and Operations to identify and implement opportunities for product cost reductions, driving improved sales and profit before tax (PBT) performance. Product Lifecycle Management: Manage the entire product lifecycle, from phase-in to phase-out, to prevent excess or obsolete stock. Collaborate with the Planning team to ensure the efficient management of product data, in line with S&OP processes. Key Interfaces: R&D, Factory, Sourcing, Marketing, Sales Performance Metrics: Product line sales growth and margin performance Person Specification: Languages: Fluent in English (additional languages are an advantage) Education: Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related fields Experience: Proven experience in Product Management, preferably in an international role within a technical product industry Familiarity with formal New Product Development (NPD) and Introduction processes Strong leadership, communication, and strategic analysis skills Detail-oriented with a proactive, results-driven attitude Experience in building effective relationships within cross-functional teams Strong numerical and presentation skills Additional Skills: Willingness to travel across EMEA and Asia to support business needs
