Connect Appointments is looking for a Accounts Assistant to join our Washington based client. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity with flexible options for full-time or part-time work.
Pay starts at £12.50 to £14.50 per hour.
What you'll do as an Accounts Assistant:
Generate customer invoices for planned maintenance, emergency callouts, and remedial work
Manage billing for national service contracts and update customer portals (e.g., Verisae)
Send invoices and supporting documents to customers
Handle customer queries and billing issues, escalating when needed
Review work-in-progress (WIP) reports, correcting any billing or cost errors
Work closely with customers, service engineers, and the wider team
Maintain knowledge of relevant IT systems
Perform general office admin tasks as needed
Ensure compliance with company policies and proceduresWhat you'll need as an Accounts Assistant:
Experience in billing and invoicing
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Knowledge of debt collection rules and processes
Proficient in billing and accounting software, plus MS Office (especially Excel)
Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good time management and task prioritisation
Professional and ethical approach
