Mechanical Engineer
We are seeking experienced Mechanical Engineers to join our team in the Natural Resources, Nuclear & Networks division, working on wastewater treatment sites across the Midlands, South Yorkshire and Derbyshire for our Severn Trent client.
Job Summary
This permanent, full-time role offers flexibility for part-time hours if desired. The successful candidate will work closely with the project delivery team to ensure design, procurement, and site activities are completed efficiently.
Main Responsibilities
* Collaborate with the project delivery team to achieve project objectives within budget constraints.
* Deliver water M&E elements including pumping stations, dosing systems, and chlorination plants, along with associated civil structures.
* Conduct early site investigation works in coordination with the client, design, and project teams.
* Produce and review health and safety documentation, including risk assessments, method statements, and project management plans.
* Source materials, attend site inspections, conduct works testing, commissioning, and client training.
* Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors, prepare subcontract orders, and assist with the evaluation and submission of claims for variation of works.
Requirements
* Aptitude in mechanical engineering with ONC/HNC/BEng qualifications.
* Relevant experience in the Water Industry or similar sectors working on comparable projects and equipment.
