We are recruiting for a Labourer to join us here at Octavius Regional Civil Engineering.

As a Labourer at Octavius Regional Civil Engineering, you'll be part of a boots-on-the-ground team delivering critical infrastructure projects across highways frameworks. You'll carry out your work safely and to a high standard, supporting teams in the field while representing the values that drive everything we do.
Responsibilities
* Handle and move materials, tools, and equipment safely across sites.
* Operate tools and machinery, ensuring all equipment is used correctly and safely.
* Follow strict safety protocols to protect yourself and your teammates.
* Work closely with engineers, supervisors, and fellow operatives to meet project goals.
* Keep accurate records of your work and raise any issues to your manager.
* Ensure all work meets our quality and compliance standards.
* Look for ways to continuously improve your skills and support project success.
* Empty the bins across site.
Team and Collaborations
You will work with a team of highly motivated, dedicated professionals delivering projects across a variety of frameworks with clients such as National Highways and Balfour Beatty.

About You
You are reliable, safety-conscious, and a strong team player. You take pride in doing a job well, enjoy working outdoors, and thrive in a hands-on role. You are polite, professional, and have a ‘can do' attitude.
Your Skills and Qualifications
Experience working on construction sites.
A strong awareness of site safety.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Basic literacy, numeracy, and IT skills.
Flexibility to work different shifts, including nights.
CSCS card (preferred).
Additional tickets like PTS, Highways Passport, IPAF, or Slinger/Signaller (desirable but not essential).
