Avondale Foods is a leading food processing company of Fresh and Chilled products supplying leading retail businesses such as Marks & Spencer, Waitrose, Ocado and Morrisons. The purpose of this is to assist the Production Manager in ensuring that maximum production efficiency and product quality are met while adhering to food safety regulations and hygiene procedures.To lead by example and ensure that you and your team are adhering to company policies and procedures in relation to Product Quality, Food Safety and Integrity. Key Responsibilities To review production orders at the start of the day and plan production process by looking at staff level, materials required, and machinery in order to meet customers orders To organise and supervise staff to different production lines to achieve production efficiency and to ensure that production targets are met per order; To plan labour cost with the Department Manager by effectively planning holidays and staff rota To control and manage packaging materials and labels To address any department related issues relating to process and quality arising from internal and external customer complaints and audits. To utilise AX, Autocoding, Sparc Systems in the production process To control yield and waste by monitoring the use of raw materials and packaging and implementing effective stock rotation and control To ensure accurate completion of production documents such as production records, wash tanks, start-up checks, knife control, scale checks, metal detections, etc. To investigate, monitor, implement Companys standards on Food Safety and Health and Safety To promote a harmonious working relationship within the Department by dealing with grievance, and also by managing non-performers through counselling and disciplinary in accordance with Company procedures To lead by example by adhering to Company general policies, i.e., Food Safety, Health Ensure Food Safety compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements to remain audit-ready at all times. Develop a culture of Integrity, collaboration do the right thing approach in all interactions.
