The Role Oversee all production regulatory compliance and operations at the manufacturing facilities. Ensure efficient and timely production of pharmaceutical products while complying with regulatory requirements. Develop and coach the production team members to continue to strive for excellence in manufacturing and ensure understanding of GMP requirements. Lead development and improvement activities. Ensure adequate operational capacity and address future needs. As Head of Manufacturing your responsibilities will include, although not limited to: Lead production teams in all manufacturing activities. Ensure manufacturing operations are efficient and planned to maximise productivity and minimise cost. Contribute to new product introductions and lead on implementation of new production processes and equipment. Ensure equipment used in manufacturing is maintained appropriately, calibrated and validated accordingly as required. Lead development and improvement projects. Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing within the teams and across sites. Encourage cross-department collaboration when appropriate. Work closely with senior management to align the production department goals with overall company objectives. Responsible for ensuring GMP and MHRA regulatory compliance in the manufacturing units. Address and rectify non-conformances identified. Prepare for and lead in any regulatory inspections or customer audits of the manufacturing facilities. Ensure QMS actions are appropriate and addressed on time. Responsible for risk management within manufacturing activities and operations. Create and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Ensure training of production staff is up to date and appropriate for the tasks undertaken. Ensure controlled drugs are used as per the site Home Office licence and SOPs. Review and revise health and safety processes relevant to manufacturing. To be successful in this role, you should be able to demonstrate: A minimum 10 years in GMP manufacturing. Excellent troubleshooting skills. Strong leader with the ability to motivate others and identify training and coaching needs. Goal oriented. Excellent communication skills.
