The Supply Chain function provides property and workplace support services including the acquisition, disposal, management, and maintenance across the KPMG property portfolio.
The Workplace Engineering team form part of the Supply Chain function, tasked with providing continuity of business within the property portfolio, including customer comfort, maximisation of asset value through asset life cycle management, responsible utility consumption and management along with technical specification and strategic support for engineering investment projects and future acquisitions and disposals.
The Assistant manager role involves the day-to-day management of the 3rd party supplier(s) and is often the first point of contact for Engineering issues and decision making, for all buildings across the portfolio. They are focussed upon driving optimum commercial value, through instructing tasks & projects, and maintaining quality and compliance standards.
Critical to the operational model of the services, is the use of a highly developed Computer Added Facilities Management System (CAFM), which manages Planned Maintenance activities and Reactive tasks. The supply chains involved in the services have highly developed Risk and Reward commercial models in place, designed to incentivise high service standards, strong compliance in support of the firms ISO’ accreditation’s (14001, 50001) and optimum value.
What will you be doing?
Work as part of the Workplace Engineering team with primary responsibilities for the London offices; travel to other UK locations as required.
Providing a first class service both internally and externally, thereby raising the profile of the function and improving Facilities’ impact on the firm’s expenditure.
Proactively provide and deliver intelligent reporting and trend analysis to support contract management and other contract, trend, exception and or service line reporting. (To Workplace Teams, clients and Leadership as required).
Respond effectively to general enquiries from internal and external clients/contacts and suppliers whilst being sensitive to end user requirements.
Available for contact Out Of Hours/ Emergency situations
To provide a first contact for engineering and technical questions.
Run all month end finance reports & populate the agenda and billing schedule to suit.
Support the Head of Engineering with Budget setting, including the running of PPM forecast reports and reactive spend analysis & support the monthly finance meetings.
Management of businesses CAFM system for engineering services and other facilities contracts
Management of MRI Go for all facilities enabled contracts.
conduct sample monitoring of contractor activity to ensure maintenance of safe working procedures, and record as appropriate.
Supporting H&S & external ISO audits via CAFM system and site presence.
What will you need to do it?
To hold a formal technical qualification.
Experience of using a CAFM System – Concept Evolution preferred.
Intermediate IT skills i.e. Microsoft applications, MS Outlook, database management
Articulate, confident and able to work on own initiative.
Able to deal with staff at all levels – polite, professional and responsive.
Attentive to detail and able to work to strict deadlines.
Flexible, with a can-do attitude and able to deal with more than one project simultaneously.
Skills we’d love to see/Amazing Extras:
A Facilities qualification in IWFM facilities management level 3 desirable
Manual handling experience/ training helpful
