Job Description:
Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team on the Neurosciences Intensive Care Unit at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, UK. This fixed term post as a Senior Clinical Fellow would be ideal for a candidate who has recently acquired CCT, or equivalent level of training, in Anaesthetics or Intensive Care, and has full GMC registration with Licence to Practice. The role is suited for a clinician with an interest in Neuro-Anaesthesia or Neuro-Critical Care to gain increased experience in support of a Consultant application in a similar position. All candidates must possess advanced airway skills and have demonstrated training and experience to manage a critical care unit out-of-hours with remote supervision.
Main Duties of the Job:
The post holder will contribute at a senior level to the running of a busy specialist Intensive Care Unit, including management of junior colleagues and trainees, and will contribute to a full-shift on-call rota covering the Airway tier of the Neuro ICU.
Working for Our Organisation:
Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest NHS teaching trusts in the country. It provides a wide range of general and specialist clinical services and is a base for medical education, training, and research.
The Trust comprises four hospitals - the John Radcliffe Hospital, Churchill Hospital, Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Headington, and the Horton General Hospital in Banbury.
Our values, standards, and behaviours define the quality of clinical care we offer and the professional relationships we make with our patients, colleagues, and the wider community. We call this Delivering Compassionate Excellence and its focus is on our values of compassion, respect, learning, delivery, improvement, and excellence. These values put patients at the heart of what we do and underpin the quality healthcare we would like for ourselves or a member of our family.
