About the Role: I am currently recruiting for a People Services Manager to join the People Team at David Lloyd Clubs. This newly created role will support over 10,000 employees across the UK and EMEA, with five direct reports. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of Shared Services and experience managing a ticketed system with accountability for SLAs. Purpose of the Job: To manage the People Services team (team of 5), ensuring efficient, accurate, and consistent HR administration and systems management across the employee lifecycle. This role will lead a team that guides and supports administrators across the group, ensuring an exceptional employee experience. Key Responsibilities: People Management: Lead and manage the People Services team, ensuring efficient HR administration across all touchpoints of the employee lifecycle. Develop team members by identifying training needs, providing regular feedback, and managing succession planning. Ensure the team delivers high-quality customer service and maintains strong relationships with stakeholders. Stakeholder and Customer Relationship Management: Build strong relationships with senior business leaders to understand their needs and ensure tailored service delivery. Support senior business leaders in developing their managers with the knowledge and skills to manage people admin processes. Partner with other teams, including Reward, Policy & Systems, Payroll, and People Business Partners, to provide integrated support. Act as a point of escalation for complex queries and issues. Workday System Management: Oversee the full integration and management of the Workday system and additional modules. Manage and maintain the Workday HCM, Onboarding, Talent, and Performance Management modules. Oversee the organisational structure of the business and the hierarchy in Workday. Liaise with IT, Finance, and the AMS provider to ensure the accuracy and functionality of organisational structures, cost centres, and job profiles in Workday. Oversee system compliance, data security, and access control, auditing regularly to ensure consistency and adherence to policies. Communicate system updates and provide training and job role induction to Club Administrators and other key stakeholders. Ensure accurate maintenance of annual updates (e.g., holiday calendars, compliance updates) and related processes. Process and Service Excellence: Manage the team to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs) by delivering timely, accurate, and high-quality outputs. Oversee the HR inbox and ticket systems, ensuring timely resolutions and identifying areas for process improvement. Ensure all customer groups comply with HR policies and legal requirements. Maintain and continuously improve standard operating procedures for HR administration processes. HR Service and Compliance Support: Act as a subject matter expert on HR service delivery and administration processes, providing guidance to managers and Club Administrators. Ensure compliance with legal, company, and audit standards across all HR administrative activities. Provide accurate, updated letter and contract templates for all regions in which the company operates. Manage the team to deliver an effective HR Administration service to Club Support, Membership, General Managers, and Club Administrators throughout their employment lifecycle. Qualifications, Skills, and Experience: Proven leadership experience with strong people management and team development skills. Expertise in managing HR systems, preferably Workday. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. High attention to detail and adherence to processes. Ability to manage confidential information with integrity. Familiarity with Workday modules: HCM, Onboarding, Talent, and Performance Management is desirable. Experience in delivering HR support in a hybrid working environment with multi-site and overseas customer groups is ideal. Knowledge of industry best practices in shared services and HR administration.
