You will require a relevant endoscopy course or equivalent evidential experience of working within an endoscopy unit for a minimum of 2 years post registration. Main duties of the job The post holder is responsible for the assessment of care needs, the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care with minimal to no supervision dependent on stage of development. The post holder will be required to be able to assist in all Endoscopy procedures - ERCP, Colonoscopy, OGD and Bronchoscopy. The post holder is required to teach qualified and non-qualified staff including students following the critical care pathway. The post holder is designated to take charge of the Unit, deputising for the Band 7 Sister/Charge Nurse. The post holder will inform the manager when changes in circumstances occur which may affect safe and competent practice.
