We are seeking a dedicated, reliable, and diligent Domestic Assistant to work with our teams at Ollerton, Newark, Bassetlaw, and Ashfield Day Opportunities sites. You will be required to work across a district at different buildings.
This role is crucial in ensuring that we provide exceptional day opportunities. Our mission is to maintain a clean and safe environment for the people that attend and the staff through high standards of cleaning and maintenance.
You will be responsible for providing cleaning services within the day service, ensuring that all areas are maintained to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support cleaning the establishment and maintain high standards at all times.
2. Maintain floor surfaces in accordance with the Authority’s cleaning and janitorial specification and attend to and clean up after spillages.
3. Deep clean areas on a rotational basis and take reasonable care for the Health and Safety of yourself and others.
4. Remove waste from the rooms to the external waste facility and empty litter bins.
5. Clean working surfaces and other furniture as directed.
6. Set out furniture as required and support in setting up sessions for the people that attend, as well as tidying up afterwards.
7. Assist the caretaker with maintaining logbooks, stock cards, inventories, and ensuring adequate cleaning supplies.
8. Clean toilets and washrooms to the required standards.
9. Carry out all duties and responsibilities with a ‘can do’ attitude.
Qualifications:
* Willingness to gain NVQ Cleaning & Building Interiors Standards Level 2.
* Willingness to train in hygiene and safety to an appropriate level for the job.
* Basic awareness of Health and Safety.
* Knowledge of operating specialist equipment related to the job role.
* Ability to work efficiently and effectively, both independently and as part of a team.
* Commitment to excellent customer care and maintaining high standards of hygiene.
* Ability to work flexibly and handle workplace difficulties with diplomacy.
* High level of punctuality and attendance.
* Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
