As we continue on our growth agenda, we are looking for a Head of Retail Operations Support to join our Northern Ireland team. This role involves overseeing the development and implementation of support strategies and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the overall retail experience.
You will be a member of the Management Team that contributes to the development and implementation of an effective strategy for MNI and the retail sales function in NI. What you'll be doing
* Lead and manage the retail operations support team, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management to ensure high levels of engagement and productivity.
* Develop and implement support strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives, ensuring the delivery of exceptional service.
* Provide support services to the Independent and Company Owned retail teams to enable efficient and effective day-to-day operations.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the overall retail experience, including the development of new processes and the implementation of best practices.
* Work closely with other departments, including trading and marketing, to ensure a cohesive approach to retail support.
* Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement.
* Ensure the retail support team provides exceptional customer service, addressing any issues or concerns promptly and effectively.
* Oversee the Customer Service, Project Management, and Commercial functions, supporting the overall MNI retail business.
* Ensure best service provision and change processes in-store through effective cross-functional working.
* Ensure departmental processes, tools, and ways of working are effective, efficient, and relevant to best support the business and retailers.
* Set budgets and KPIs annually to monitor all aspects of the function’s performance.
* Implement development plans to ensure high performance and a strong succession.
* Be an active and effective member of the MNI management team by contributing to the establishment, delivery, and achievement of business objectives.
* Attend Retailer conference, council, and cluster meetings, as appropriate, to obtain feedback and address retailer concerns directly.
What we’re looking for
* 5 years+ of progressive experience in a Senior Commercial role within a fast-paced, large and complex business environment.
* Proven experience in the retail or FMCG sector including a track record of driving sales and delivering exceptional business results.
* Proven people management and leadership experience.
* Track record of establishing, developing and maintaining strong customer relationships.
* Strong leadership skills, can paint a compelling picture, provide clarity, lead a team, effectively engage stakeholders and deliver exceptional results.
* Ability to build and sustain relationships that deliver results and build trust with a variety of internal and external stakeholders and partners.
* Business savvy with excellent judgement, ability to determine the right strategic approach, make decisions at pace and adapt course quickly when required.
* Excellent interpersonal communication and management skills with the ability to interact and influence effectively at all levels across the division and business and to get things done.
* Strong commercial acumen, highly data rational and numbers orientated.
* Excellent flexibility and adaptability within management style.
* Tenacity and innovation to exploit commercial opportunities.
* Third level degree or other relevant professional qualification.
