Female Support Worker

Responsibilities:
1. Encourage the people we support to make their own choices about everyday things such as what to wear, what to do, what to eat, as well as bigger decisions such as where to live, how to spend their money or where to go on holiday.
2. Enable the people we support to fulfil those choices, including structured activities which help each individual to develop their confidence and skills.
3. Assist the people we support to meet their responsibilities such as paying bills, looking after their homes, being good neighbours, and keeping in close contact with friends and family.
4. Involve the people we support in company-related activities such as training, recruitment of new staff, and house meetings.
Requirements:
1. Support individuals in carrying out normal household tasks.
2. Understand principles of respect and dignity.
3. Demonstrate patience and empathy.
4. Provide intimate personal care with dignity and respect.
5. Exhibit good communication skills adaptable to various situations.
6. Ability to advocate for others and communicate with professionals.
7. Possess good written skills for recording events with empathy and meaning.
8. Basic computer skills for record-keeping and information retrieval.
9. Good observational skills.
10. Ability to work as part of a team.
11. Ability to adhere to consistent standards.
12. Decision-making skills and the ability to follow through.
13. Creativity and organizational skills.
14. Ability to manage and record finances.
15. Driving ability and use of your own vehicle is essential.
