The Role
The role will require the successful candidate to undertake a wide range of valuation work across the full spectrum of the commercial and residential property sectors, including development appraisals. It requires a working knowledge of various valuation software packages including Argus Developer and Argus Investor, although training is available.
There is a need for regular contact with other parts of the UK valuation business as the team works within the context of a national service line. The role can be based in either Sheffield or Leeds.
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level, will be a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors with valuation experience and ideally, a Registered Valuer.
Responsibilities
1. Executing valuation engagements with support from both junior and senior staff from Instruction through to completion.
2. Managing existing client relationships on a day-to-day basis.
3. Preparing standard reports, valuations and submissions, and working with senior guidance on more complex issues.
4. Building and maintaining relationships with existing and prospective clients.
5. Identifying new business opportunities.
6. Contributing towards the team’s fee earning target.
7. Managing instructions or subsections of major projects.
8. Evaluating, adapting and improving standards, techniques and procedures.
9. Advising and guiding graduates and administrative employees.
10. Sharing knowledge with and providing information to colleagues and the wider team.
About You
1. Educated to degree level.
2. MRICS.
3. RICS Registered Valuer.
4. Preferred knowledge of Argus/KEL or other valuation software (training available).
5. Demonstrable record of delivery in the UK Real Estate market within a consultancy or client background, preferably focused on valuation work.
6. Experience in managing a varied and challenging workload.
7. Working knowledge of Argus/KEL or other valuation software.
8. Microsoft package proficient.
