Consultancy Group based in Chichester, West Sussex, has a requirement for an interim Management Accountant to undertake a 12-month fixed term contract as a result of an internal secondment.
What will the Management Accountant role involve?
1. Preparation of full monthly management accounts for all group companies and other associated entities, including provision of detailed variance analysis and production of financial reports for monthly board pack.
2. Ensuring all accounting entries are up to date, calculating and posting month end journals, full reconciliation of all balance sheet items, consolidation of various entities for group accounting.
3. Preparation and submission of VAT and CIS returns for various entities.
4. Assisting in the management of development project budgets and maintaining live project cost, return and cashflow forecasts.
5. Maintaining a detailed weekly cashflow forecast for the business to ensure cash is managed efficiently and that the business has sufficient funds at all times to cover its liabilities.
6. Assisting in the management of the year end audit and statutory accounts preparation process, including managing the provision of information to the external accountants, dealing with queries, reviewing accounts and ensuring the process is managed to the agreed timetable.
Suitable Candidate for the Management Accountant vacancy:
1. Applicants for the position will either be qualified or qualified by experience with previous experience of undertaking a similar position within an SME environment.
2. Must be comfortable being hands-on whilst at the same time also working at a higher level in supporting the Leadership team with accurate reporting and information to aid business decision making.
