Job Title: BANK Weekend Receptionist
Location: Waters Green Medical Centre, Sunderland Street, Macclesfield, Cheshire SK11 6JL
Hours: No fixed hours, with flexibility required to cover holidays and sickness, primarily on Saturdays.
Salary: £14.87 per hour

Summary of Role
To provide professional reception and support services to patients and professionals on behalf of Vernova Healthcare CIC in order to ensure the highest standards of quality customer service are maintained. To provide administrative support to all services and contribute to their smooth operation.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Welcome patients and direct to appropriate services to provide a positive impression of the service.
2. Answer all telephone calls in a prompt, polite, professional and friendly manner.
3. Make appointments for patients, respond to patient requests, and provide up-to-date information about services.
4. Respect and protect patient confidentiality in accordance with The Data Protection Act.
5. Liaise with other staff and organisations regarding clinic arrangements, room management, patient appointments, and other associated enquiries.
6. Maintain a safe and tidy reception and waiting area.
7. Monitor notice boards and leaflets, ensuring they are kept up to date.
8. Ensure all rooms are set up correctly to meet the needs of the clinicians using the rooms.
9. Support the management and monitoring of necessary supplies within the clinical consulting and treatment rooms.
10. Receive and manage incoming correspondence and telephone enquiries.
11. Provide chaperone support for clinical staff if required.
12. Accept and facilitate safe dispatch of clinical specimens to the hospital.

Receptionist Person Specification
ESSENTIAL
* Experience of working in a customer-focused role.
* English language and maths to Grade C at GCSE (or equivalent).
* Able to work with a variety of tasks and prioritise own workload.
* Excellent communication skills.
* First class customer service skills.
DESIRABLE
* Reception work in a healthcare setting or similar environment.
* NVQ or similar in customer services.
* Knowledge of Safeguarding procedures.
SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS
