Abatec are excited to be partnering with a leading contractor in the infrastructure sector, delivering major projects across the Thames Water Framework. We are currently looking for Site Agents to join our client’s team and manage key projects across the region.
As a Site Agent, you will manage projects within the Infrastructure Business Unit, overseeing Water stream projects from contract award through to completion. Your role will involve managing resources, budgets, safety, quality, and environmental systems to ensure successful project delivery. You will report to either a Contracts Manager or Project Manager, depending on the complexity and value of the projects you manage, as well as your experience and abilities.
As a Site Agent you will:
* Allocate and manage resources for site staff, ensuring effective team management.
* Report to senior management on budget control procedures and project progress.
* Ensure safe systems of work are adhered to, in line with the Company Safety Policy.
* Enforce and monitor the Division’s Quality Assurance and Environmental systems.
* Manage contracts and projects from start to finish, ensuring project milestones are met.
* Provide clear communication at all levels regarding project progress.
* Supervise and manage Sub Agents, General Foremen, Site Engineers, Foremen, and Gangers.
Our client requires a Site Agent with:
* Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree.
* Proven experience managing challenging and diverse projects with major clients such as LUL, HA, Water Companies, and Petro/Chem industries.
* Experience progressing from an engineering background to Site Agent with both theoretical and practical knowledge.
* Site qualifications: CSCS card, SMSTS (5-day), First Aid at Work (4-day), and National Water Hygiene card.
* Chartered status or nearing chartered status.
* Evidence of relevant post-graduation practical training (e.g., Form of Contracts, Formwork/Falsework Appreciation, Concrete Technology, H&S Management, etc.).
Salary/Benefits:
* £55,000 - £60,000 per annum DOE
