R&D QHSE Facility Manager Oxford What you’ll do… You will actively participate as a member of a dynamic team focused on the design, delivery and control of core processes and associated equipment throughout the development and industrialization of current and future generations of battery materials. Overall responsibility of HSEQ processes in the R&D facility Develops the QMS for the R&D facility (Quality Management System) in line with Agratas corporate strategy Enables people to work safely and in compliance to the defined standards Investigates near-misses and accidents and implements improvements to facility operations Ensures compliance with good laboratory practice and good manufacturing practice (5's & Lean) Performs EHS and Quality tier audits to evaluate effectiveness of facility operating procedures Recommend and secure ISO certifications relevant to the operation of the facility, e.g 9001, 14001. Supports Research teams with inbound material control and reporting and resolving non-conformance with suppliers. Develops and ensures compliance with approval workflows for e.g. recruitment, PO placement Understand Construction (Design and Management) CDM regulations and their application to facility build Provides the necessary training and development to the facilities team for all QHSE related topics/disciplines Provides the necessary visual management tools for QHSE in the facility to ensure a professional external image Responsible to develop and steer the R&D TMS (Target Management System) to all levels of the team Who we are… Agratas is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons. What you’ll bring… Qualification in Occupational Health and Safety, such as NVQ, BSV, or NEBOSH Diploma. Must have experience of operating in laboratory and operational environments. Compliance and regulations knowledge and experience with COSHH/DSEAR/ATEX installations and associated HS&E procedures. Demonstrated understanding of Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. Previous experience developing HSEQ systems for companies focused on chemistry and manufacturing. Comfortable dealing with contractors, vendors, suppliers, and facility management during installation and commissioning phases. Appreciation of QSHE as an enabler to ensure people are working safety to a required standard. Experience of complying with HSE regulations. Extensive experience in the use of procedures and workflows in the execution of projects. Functional knowledge of all project discipline systems, design and reporting processes.
