An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced forward thinking Practice Nurse to join our practice in Craven Arms. We are a small rural dispensing practice with approximately 4000 patients. We are looking for 2 experienced Practice Nurses to join our team working 15 hours per week, with flexibility to cover additional shifts and different days when necessary. We will consider 1 person working 30 hours. Main duties of the job You will be responsible for the delivery of general nursing services and disease management to our practice population. Working collaboratively within our multidisciplinary team you will strive to meet the needs of our patients to improve outcomes, whilst maintaining the practices performance objectives. Assist in and perform routine tasks related to patient care as directed by the GPs 2. Cytology / Well woman clinic / breast checks 3. Wound care / ulcer care / Swabs 4. Removal of sutures / clips 5. New Patient Medicals / Over 75 checks / Urinalysis 6. Travel health advice including vaccinations and medications 7. ECGs 8. Asthma / Peak Flow Readings / Spirometry / Nebuliser 9. Venepuncture 10. Ordering of vaccinations to maintain stock levels 27. Participation in administrative systems in the practice 28. Issuing appropriate prescriptions for items dispensed 29. At all times there will be a need to maintain accurate records through the use of the computer / Audit / searches of practice activities 30. A duty to advise GPs of potential problems or errors within the range of assigned tasks 31. Attend and participate in any practice meetings when required. 32.
