Job Title: Plumber / Pipefitter Locations: Ipswich, along the A12 corridor to Greater London About the Role: The Plumber/Pipefitter will be responsible for delivering high-quality mechanical and plumbing installations across multiple project sites. In this role, they will ensure all work adheres to project specifications, health and safety standards, and relevant building regulations. With a commitment to precision and quality, they will complete projects efficiently and accurately, aligning with client expectations and timelines. Key Responsibilities: Perform plumbing and mechanical installations per project drawings, specifications, and safety requirements, ensuring all work meets compliance standards. Complete installations to a high standard, with a focus on “right first time” outcomes, delivering within project timelines and budget. Maintain open and effective communication with project managers, site supervisors, and clients to address any challenges and support seamless project progress. Contribute positively to a collaborative team environment and participate in continuous improvement initiatives. Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ): Adhere to all applicable health, safety, and environmental policies on-site, actively promoting safe work practices. Regularly assess and report any potential safety hazards to site supervisors and follow safe work systems. Participate in toolbox talks, safety checks, and routine risk assessments, ensuring personal and team safety at all times. Planning & Workplace Efficiency: Interpret construction drawings and specifications accurately, staying updated on any revisions. Proactively identify required tools, materials, and potential work hindrances, communicating these needs with site supervisors. Ensure the timely completion of assigned tasks, maintaining organized work records in company systems. Skills and Qualifications: Level 2 or 3 vocational qualification in plumbing, pipefitting, or a related field (apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 preferred). Valid CSCS Card (essential). Demonstrated experience in plumbing or pipefitting on construction sites. Strong teamwork, problem-solving, and communication skills. Familiarity with health and safety practices, with the ability to conduct basic risk assessments.
