Job Title: React JS Developer Location: Hybrid (2 days on site) Edinburgh, Scotland Contract Length: 6 Months Overview: We're looking for an experienced and motivated React JS Developer to join a dynamic development team working on cutting-edge web applications. Youll play a key role in building secure, scalable, and high-performance front-end components using modern technologies. Key Responsibilities: Build responsive, user-friendly UIs using React.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS. Create and maintain reusable components using Storybook. Collaborate with design and architecture teams to deliver high-quality UX implementations. Integrate front-end with RESTful and GraphQL APIs. Utilize AWS services (Lambda, Cognito, S3, Aurora, API Gateway) in application workflows. Work with GlueStack or similar serverless platforms for full-stack development. Maintain high code quality through testing, documentation, and peer reviews. Contribute to CI/CD processes using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar tools. Apply secure coding standards and support application monitoring and optimization. Participate in Agile ceremonies and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Required Skills & Experience: 4 years experience developing web applications with React.js and TypeScript. Strong knowledge of Tailwind CSS and responsive design principles. Experience using Storybook to build UI libraries or design systems. Familiarity with GlueStack or similar platforms (e.g., Firebase, AWS Amplify). Practical experience with AWS services, especially Lambda, Cognito, API Gateway, S3, and Aurora. Understanding of relational databases and basic Infrastructure as Code (CDK, CloudFormation). Proven experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines. Solid grasp of DevSecOps practices and secure development standards (OWASP, etc.).
