Our Customer Welcome Hosts are based at our gatelines; ensuring customers are travelling on the correct ticket.
Customer Welcome Hosts can often be the first point of contact for customers and provide them with help and information. In this role you will be the face of EMR at the station and we are looking for candidates with positive energy, a can-do attitude and a strong work ethic to join our fantastic team at Derby station.
Key responsibilities of the role include;
1. Greeting customers at the gate and directing them to where they're going
2. Checking customer train tickets as they pass through the gate
3. Delivering outstanding levels of service to our customers, always
4. Providing customers with advice and guidance as necessary
5. Supporting on the platform when required to assist passengers
As a Customer Welcome Host, you will be required to work shifts, including some evenings and weekends.
The role of Customer Welcome Host at Derby station is safety critical. The successful candidates will be required to attend a safety critical medical assessment, this includes a drugs and alcohol screening. This medical assessment is a condition of the job offer. Therefore, an offer of employment is only confirmed on receipt of a successful medical result.
You do not need to have previous experience working within the railway industry, all the safety critical training is provided to the successful candidates. There is classroom training for all the rules and procedures, and then a mentor period out on the station. We are looking for hard working, pro-active and positive people to join our team.
