Job Description:
Role Responsibility
A rare opportunity has arisen for a Business Support Officer (BSO) to provide administrative support to the Care Leavers 18+ Service based at Worrall House in West Malling.
You will be working alongside our Leaving Care Team Managers to complete administrative tasks across the county to support our young people. You will need to feel confident liaising with front line professionals, volunteers, and young people, as we are often the first point of contact. The work is interesting and varied, and we need someone with a calm and organised approach who can manage their own workload whilst sometimes responding to urgent requests and deadlines.
You will have good numeracy skills, attention to detail and be able to work to financial procedures and best practice. You should be confident in the use of Microsoft Office and be willing to undertake training on our bespoke databases.
You will have the support of your colleagues, a team of eight experienced BSOs and two supervisors who will provide you with regular supervision and the training that you need for the role.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. Our Offer:
* 27 days annual leave (pro rata) plus bank holidays increasing after 5 years of service.
* Flexible working that supports your work-life balance, working both from home and the office.
* Access to Kent Rewards, offering local and national discounts and other employee benefits.
* On-the-job training and regular supervision with your line manager.
Interviews will be held week beginning the 8th August via Microsoft Teams.
