Your Role
As a Marine Claims Technician, you will handle marine cargo and liability claims for the UK and Ireland, ensuring professional management, cost control, and customer retention. Your role will also involve active recoveries, reporting, and contributing to training and development within the organization.
Your Responsibilities
* Manage marine cargo and liability claims with precision, maintaining accurate records through our Claims Management System.
* Provide transparency in claim statistics for management review.
* Interface with insurers, solicitors, surveyors, and subcontractors to ensure seamless claims processes.
* Conduct training sessions on claims handling, transport law, and marine liability.
* Implement and maintain global claims procedures, identifying areas for optimization.
* Advocate for cargo insurance as a vital risk transfer mechanism.
Your Skills and Experiences
* A minimum of 3 years’ experience in marine liability claims handling.
* Strong knowledge of international and national transport law, maritime law, and marine insurance.
* Proficiency in English with excellent communication and influencing skills.
* Advanced organizational and analytical abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
* Competency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
