Job summary the Orthopedic and Trauma Clinic in Outpatient Department at North Manchester General Hospital, part of Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust are currently looking to recruit a Band 5 Plaster Technician to our team. Main duties of the job The post holder will support on the provision of the orthopaedic technical service for North Manchester General Hospital with cross site working at Trafford General Hospital. This would include the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for patients requiring a variety of casting materials and splint application. The post holder will possess a wide range of skills and knowledge associated with this area of practice autonomously as well as providing leadership within the plaster room. The post holder will provide expert support and guidance to other relevant professionals, departments and services. The post holder is responsible for ensuring the plaster room is a safe and welcoming environment for both adults and young people while maintaining adequate health and safety requirements associated with practice.
