The Head of Marketing is responsible for all aspects of Marketing including marketing strategy, brand management, public relations, internal and external communications, digital marketing, and event planning.
Working in collaboration with Senior Leadership, Distribution, and Underwriting to develop and deliver a Marketing strategy that effectively markets our products and services, whilst increasing brand recognition and enhancing market profile.
Championing the brand internally and externally, building understanding and engagement.
Foster a positive communication environment that keeps colleagues informed, engaged, motivated, and aligned with company goals.
Management and oversight of internal corporate events.
Development and delivery of marketing strategy and operational plan aligned to Business Strategy.
Responsible for the management and effective deployment of the Group Marketing Budget.
Providing monthly reporting on marketing activity and return on investment.
Owner of all brand guidelines, responsible for the governance and controls that will ensure a consistent implementation across the Group.
Ensuring effective communication within the Company to keep employees informed and engaged.
Oversee the creation and distribution of internal content, such as newsletters, intranet updates, and internal social media posts.
Work closely with leadership, Human resources, Sustainability Group, Corporate Social Responsibility Committee, Employee Resource Groups, and others with events and to convey policies, achievements, and other important information.
Fully leveraging all marketing channels to achieve positive results aligned to business and financial objectives.
Supporting stakeholders with internal communications messaging, drafting and positioning on an ad hoc basis.
Taking the lead in devising and implementing integrated and measurable marketing and communication campaigns.
In conjunction with the Head of Distribution, creation of a marketing engagement plan for our corporate client events in order to reach new business opportunities.
Proactively identifying marketing opportunities for the Chaucer Group.
Ensuring all marketing materials are of high quality and up to date and overseeing the development and content management of the Company website.
Leadership and talent development of the Marketing team.
Working with external designers for specific campaigns.
Cross-functional collaboration and engagement in wider company projects as opportunities arise.
Assisting in the liaison with Shareholder, China Re.
Developing relationships with key Media and trade press.
Production of press releases, and proactive monitoring of press to maximize opportunities for positive public relations.
Successful track record in senior marketing roles.
Ability to translate business strategy into marketing priorities.
Expertise in developing marketing strategies and working with senior management and senior external partners.
Up-to-date knowledge and experience across all the broad areas of marketing channels.
Demonstrable experience of implementing initiatives and solutions that are pragmatic, commercial, and add value to the business.

Ability to tailor style of communication to different audiences, both internal and external.
Insurance or financial services experience.

Education:
CIM or other recognised professional marketing qualification.
