We are currently looking for a Finance Manager to join our Finance team on a permanent basis. The role reports to the Head of Finance, Procurement and ICT and will manage all aspects of financial management for The Legal Ombudsman. What you will be doing: - The Finance Manager supports the Head of Finance, Procurement and ICT and manages the Finance Team on a daily basis, which provides all aspects of financial management to the Legal Ombudsman including: Budget Preparation Budget Monitoring Financial Accounting Provision of Business Partner Service Accounts Receivable Accounts Payable Banking Reporting to Ministry of Justice The Finance Manager will provide oversight, challenge and support to the Management Accountant who leads on the financial accounting and reporting. The role will provide the finance business partnering service to the organisation with a particular focus on providing effective financial management and forecasting. About you: You will need to have demonstrable experience in a similar role. You will have worked across a range of roles including financial accounting, financial management and reporting. You will have a track record of consistently delivering high quality outputs to tight deadlines. Your high level of personal resilience will enable you to remain calm under pressure with the ability to think and act strategically, developing practical and innovative solutions, and driving them forward. By having the ability to work flexibly you will manage tasks effectively according to priority. You will be able to quickly develop, nurture and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Your strong written and verbal communication skills will allow you to present financial information.
