Role Overview:
Due to expansion, Compassionate Care Group is seeking a Business Development Manager to strengthen our business development efforts across our operational. This individual will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of our new business development and occupancy targets within the region. We are looking for a results-focused professional with the ability to bring immediate strategic value.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development:
* Initiate and execute regional business development plans based on market demand and intelligence.
* Drive the generation of new community-based accommodation projects for individuals with complex care needs.
* Develop and present business cases for the approval of new developments.
Sales & Market Growth:
* Build and maintain strong, effective relationships with local commissioners and key stakeholders to position Compassionate Care Group as a preferred provider in the health and social care sector.
* Ensure the successful marketing and growth of new services and accommodation solutions within the region.
* Achieve occupancy and financial targets through proactive engagement with local authorities, commissioners, and other partners.
* Work closely with operational teams and internal support functions to ensure that agreed developments are delivered on time.
* Work alongside our mobilisation managers to ensure we are on target to achieve our regional KPIs.
* Support CCG’s Service Managers with referral and assessment activities to fill vacancies across existing services.
Promotional Activities & Events:
* Assist the Head of Partnerships in planning and executing promotional events, including the launch of new services and accommodations.
* Represent Compassionate Care Group at national and regional events, such as trade shows, conferences, and exhibitions, to raise awareness and generate new business.
Key Candidate Requirements:
Experience:
* A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Business Development Manager (BDM) within the social care sector, with a particular focus on specialist supported living services.
* Proven ability to achieve business growth and meet occupancy targets.
Knowledge:
* A strong understanding of Specialist Supported Housing requirements and relevant CQC guidance.
* Expertise in core sales methodologies, business development processes, and growth strategies within the social care sector.
Personal Attributes:
* Able to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining focus on results.
* Demonstrated commitment to compassionate care and ensuring the well-being of those supported.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to present confidently in both in-person and virtual meetings.
Job Purpose:
The primary responsibility of the Business Development Manager will be to generate new business opportunities by developing community-based accommodation projects that cater to individuals with complex care needs. This role will also focus on achieving occupancy targets and supporting the referral and assessment activities for Compassionate Care Group’s existing and new services.
Accountability:
* Meeting new development and core bed fill targets across our operational region.
* Ensuring that new business opportunities and tender submissions are maximized.
