The post is offered as 10 programmed activities (PAs) over five days. Person specification
Qualifications
* Hold a medical qualification registered with the GMC
* Minimum of 2 years exposure to Gastroenterology Medicine in a specialist training programme or equivalent.
* ATLS/ETLS, ALS, EPALS/EPLS/APLS or have arranged a place on a course
* 12 Months continuous experience within the NHS
* MRCEM or equivalent
* Competence in appropriate clinical procedures
* Able to prioritise clinical need, time and workload
* Ability to assess, recognise and initiate management of the acutely ill patient and play an effective part in advanced life support
* Experience of setting up and/or developing clinical services.
Teaching and Supervision
* Experience in teaching & supervising medical students and junior trainees
Communication Skills
* Written and spoken English adequate to enable effective communication about medical topics with patients & colleagues
* Successful completion of advanced communication skills training
Leadership
* Strategic thinker with an enquiring, critical approach to work
* Contributes to improving patient experience and involving patients in decisions about their care
DBS Checks
Please be aware that all new employees starting work with us will be charged for the cost of their DBS check if it is required for the role. The cost will be deducted from your salary either in one payment or over a six month period once you start employment. By applying you are agreeing to this undertaking. If you are successful you will be asked to confirm if you wish to pay in one amount or in instalments. The charges are currently £27.38 for a standard check and £55.38 for an enhanced check. The level of check will be determined by the post you are applying for.

Relocation Package
