Lead DevOps Engineer Salary Circa £60,000 Locations Bristol and Norwich We are seeking an experienced and motivated Lead DevOps Engineer to join our growing and dynamic Data Science & AI platform team. The role will play a key technical leadership role in building and advancing our Data Science and AI technology stack, leveraging modern day cloud services, and driving CI/CD & automation practices. The ideal candidate should have a strong experience in DevOps and AIOps practices, including AWS and/or Azure infrastructure services, with strong focus on containerisation and serverless computing. A bit about the job: As a Lead AIOps Engineer, you will be responsible for shaping our technical roadmaps across our toolset, defining our technical governance and standards and will play an important role in wider collaboration with technology platforms across the business. You will lead a technical team of engineers to support the delivery of good customer outcomes through all activities and deliverables, enabling us to act in good faith towards customers, avoid causing foreseeable harm and enable and support our customers to pursue their financial objectives. Lead a team of technical engineers, defining technical roadmaps and standards across the team, enhancing our maturity and ensuring we keep pace with the ever-evolving technology landscape. Collaborate with a multitude of teams across the business, with a key focus on alignment to enterprise architecture for our Data Science & AI capabilities. Responsible for the implementation and management of scalable, modern-day infrastructure across our AWS and Azure cloud platforms supporting our Data Science and AI toolset. Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes, with CI/CD principles a strong focus area. Support and Enhance our CI/CD pipelines to streamline SDLC and improve our overall MLOps & AIOps capabilities. Monitor system performance and deliver proactive maintenance improvements. Ensure Security and Compliance of our infrastructure and Solutions, including a focus on Vulnerability Management & Maintenance. Skills and experience we're looking for: Strong experience working with AWS and Azure Infrastructure Services. proven understanding in Containerisation and Serverless computing services and practices (examples such as AWS EKS and Lambda). A solid understanding of DevOps, AIOps and MLOps principles and concepts. Experience in delivering and managing CI/CD Pipelines leveraging tools such as Azure DevOps and Jenkins. Experience in scripting languages such as JSON, Yaml, Python, Terraform, Ansible and Powershell.
