We are looking for Nurses, both Paediatric and Adult with Paediatric experience, who want to relocate to the beautiful city of Cambridge and work at one of the best NHS Foundation Teaching Trusts in the country. As a Nurse in Children's Services at Addenbrookes, you will be joining a diverse and stimulating area. Our work is wide ranging and we are well respected both locally and as a regional specialist treatment centre. We provide excellent care across medical and surgical specialities and subspecialties. Main duties of the job
To provide a high standard of safe individualised, holistic and evidence-based patient focused care in consultation with the patient, relatives and the multidisciplinary team.
Our areas include D2 (22 bed general medical/surgical ward 3-16 years), C3 (14 bed medical/surgical ward 0-3 years), F3 (day surgery and day procedure, Pre admission clinic and infusions), C2 / PDU (hematology/oncology and day unit), PICU, NICU, Charles Wolfson Ward (0-1 year), Clinic 6 (outpatients and specialist teams).

Person Specification
Qualifications
* First level registration RSCN/RN (child) (part 8 or 15) / Registered Nurse with Paediatric NMC PIN
* 2 Basic Level Child protection training
* Advanced level child protection training
* Evidence of continuing professional development
* Relevant teaching and assessing course / mentorship course
Experience
* Recent experience of working, without supervision, with children in an acute hospital setting, this can include student placements
* Evidence of experience in a high dependency or critical care areas
Knowledge
* Awareness of professional issues
* Evidence of up to date paediatric nursing skills and knowledge
* Current knowledge of research developments in paediatric nursing
Skills
* Competent to care for children and their families in a safe and effective manner without direct supervision
* Effective team member
* Advocate of paediatric nursing
* Evidence of excellent teamwork
* Evidence of participation in research and audit projects
Additional Requirements
* The ability to understand and behave at all times, towards patients, visitors and colleagues according to the Trust values of safe, kind, excellent.
* Evidence of effective communication skills
