Job description SLC now have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Infrastructure Engineer to join our NOC team within the Technology Group in SLC. In this role, you will work as part of the team responsible for the monitoring of SLCs key services and applications including Network, Unix and Database infrastructures on a mixture of night and day shifts covering a 24 x 7 period. You will be highlighting and escalating issues to designated ICT contacts as appropriate along with the running, analysing and troubleshooting of core overnight batches. SLC offer a blended working model which will typically be 2 days in the office and 3 days from home. Person specification What you bring: Good working knowledge of standard desktop applications (MS Office suite, Lotus Notes) Must demonstrate initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision Ability to maintain focus during quiet periods and keep a constant approach to tasks Ability to complete all duties, including repetitive tasks, accurately and timely High standard of verbal and written communication with flexibility in working approach Experience of structured analysis Understanding of Unix and working knowledge of ServiceNOW are nice to have.
