Join us as a Fire Consultant and work with colleagues as talented as you, driving innovation and excellence. Work on engaging, varied projects across retail, health, energy, commercial property, education, and public sectors. In our multi-disciplinary, collaborative environment, you'll be pivotal in managing client relationships while handling technical and legal issues.
Your purpose:
1. Working across local, regional and national projects in different sectors providing a range of fire consultancy duties.
2. Carrying out fire risk assessments, fire compartmentation and fire door surveys and providing professional fire consultancy advice.
3. Supporting AtkinsRéalis' National Lead for fire consultancy and other senior managers in their day-to-day activities.
4. Keeping up to date with regulations and legislation.
5. Line management, mentoring and training junior staff.
6. Understanding the principles of quality, safety and the environment in survey, design and management of projects and portfolios.
What you can bring:
1. At least one of the following qualifications/memberships:
* NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety.
* Institute of Fire Safety Managers (IFSM).
* Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE).
* Level 3 Award in Fire Door Inspection will be advantageous.
1. Sound technical fire knowledge and passive fire surveying experience.
2. Experience in undertaking fire risk assessments across a broad range of sectors and property types.
3. Experience managing clients with a strong understanding of profitability, business development and sound commercial awareness.
4. Excellent time management, punctuality, and commitment to getting the job done.
5. Enthusiasm to seek new learning opportunities to keep skills and knowledge current, enjoy supporting colleagues with their development.
6. Contribute to a positive, friendly environment, helping to build relationships across teams and with clients.
7. A willingness to travel as required to carry out site surveys and assessments.
